If you have not seen StackOverflow, I encourage you to get familiar with it right away. It is a great resource for software developers among us. The site went in public beta two weeks ago and it is basically an hybrid between a wiki, a blog, digg, and a forum specifically dedicated to answer programming questions.
It is self-moderated and it works. Questions are answered in a matter of minutes and noise is quickly eliminated. It is fun to try to answer questions and it is certainly an humbling experience as many out there are much more savvy than I am.

Today, a friend suggested that I participate in the upcoming Internet experiment called Le Baiser de La Matrice.
With this experiment, Véronique Aubouy suggests that over 3,000 individuals from all over the world read a page from “À la Recherche du temps perdu” by Marcel Proust in front of a web camera. By the end of the experiment, all the words from this book would have been read in French by people from all horizons and recorded into a 170 hours movie. The shooting will take place directly on the Internet starting at noon GMT on September 27th 2008. It is open to all and she invites all of you to register on her blog and invite others to built the network map of “Baiser de la Matrice”.
I registered earlier and will see where this will lead me. I will attempt to record in front of a raging wood fire in my living room.
We are using Agile methodologies at work and I was looking for ways to explain the fundamental differences between those two development methodologies. It turns out that this video is pretty good at doing just this. Enjoy…

This morning, I called some of my friends and neighbors in Houston and I was glad to hear that Ike moved over Houston without too much damage, at least in the area where I used to live.
However, I must exclusively report that Ike has affected Calgary in unsuspected ways and I have unaltered photographic proof to illustrate my discovery.
This morning, Melissa and I traveled to the South East of Calgary and we came across a building stuck in the ground reminding me of the scene in the Wizard of Oz right after Dorothy arrives in Munchkinland and in which the ruby-slippered Wicked Witch of the East get smashed by Dorothy’s house.
I am convinced that Houston is now missing a church and that this church can be found in Calgary.
It appears that some people try to discredit my findings and have been too far in claiming that “Device to Root Out Evil, a work in steel, aluminum and glass by New York artist Dennis Oppenheim, looks like an upside-down New England church with its steeple planted in the ground.”
You will certainly agree with me and I need your help to locate the site in Houston where this church comes from. Please report your findings in the comments to this post.

This photo represents the very reason I wanted to move from Houston to Calgary. Lake Louise is a two hours drive from our house. This photo was taken last Sunday after a short 1.6km uphill hike.
