This photo represents the very reason I wanted to move from Houston to Calgary. Lake Louise is a two hours drive from our house. This photo was taken last Sunday after a short 1.6km uphill hike.
Now, I can’t wait for the ski season to start.

For skiing/snowboarding, you will find that Sunshine Village near Banff has better snow and more powder than Louise does. But when snow conditions are good at Louise, after a really big dump, I prefer to go there. The runs and views are better at Lake Louise IMO. But snow is generally better at Sunshine.
